The internalized racism that afflicts other minorities is very much present among Jews. When a group is denigrated and persecuted for centuries members of that group will adopt those negative views of themselves.

Israel has been the only democracy in the Middle East for the past 75 years. That, on its own, justifies its continued existence, just as the centuries old democracy of the United States justifies its continued existence in North America.

Watching the news these days it has become commonplace to portray Palestinians as double victims—of both Hamas and Israel. Everyone from President Biden to even Bibi Netanyahu has emphasized the distinction between Hamas on the one hand and the innocent Palestinians on the other. They are presented as hostages of Hamas as much as the Israelis being held at gunpoint in their tunnels. While it is true that 16 years have passed since Gazans elected Hamas, this is, sadly, a palatable fiction. 

By providing authoritarian governments with a platform to whitewash their crimes, the UN betrays its founding principles of promoting peace and human rights.

Israel should not be planting flags in Gaza.

Israel is the only democracy in the Middle-East, and though it uses legal mechanisms in order to maintain its Jewish identity, it grants equal rights to all its citizens. That is what should matter to liberals.

Abducting babies and hurling grenades into shelters full of concertgoers is not what “decolonization” looks like. It’s what terrorism looks like.

Progressives rightly condemned anyone who said, “The death of George Floyd was regrettable, but he was on drugs at the time” or “All lives Matter!” But on 10/8 they were all saying, “What happened yesterday was bad, but this is what decolonization looks like,” or “Free Palestine!” They would not unequivocally condemn the intentional slaughter of innocent Jews. Apparently Jewish lives don’t matter.

How many unintentional civilian casualties are acceptable in war when one of the combatants uses civilians as shields?

Progressives fail to understand the causes of the problems they decry. As a result, the solutions they offer will not solve those problems.

Reparations in the form of preferential business, home and education loans, free childcare, healthcare, job placement and career counseling services and subsidized affordable housing in desirable neighborhoods should be the focus of our efforts. Too many liberals stick a Black Lives Matter sign in their front yard and parrot the same talking points on social media without actually doing anything that would improve black lives.

The trial of Kimberly Potter, the former police officer who mistook her gun for her taser and killed Duante Wright, is underway in Minneapolis, MN. Already, the familiar chants of 'No Justice, No peace' can be heard. This raises the question: should we be threatening violence if we don't get the verdicts we want?
